commitment of countries would be in vain if pragmatic measures are not
taken to realise the Goals. Countries are left with seven years to meet
the 2015 deadline of eradicating poverty, hunger, child mortality, maternal
heath among others. In spite of the fact that the Goals are almost half
way to the deadline, most people in Africa, especially rural areas do
not know much about the Millennium Development Goals. The need then
arise for awareness creation, pressuring government authorities to meet
the 2015 deadline and the youth to engage actively in activities that
can lead to the eradication of poverty and extreme hunger and other
dehumanizing condition that the human endeavour is bedevilled with.
This in all would lead to the improvement in the quality of life.
